Our Verdict
Blackheads and whiteheads are some of my least favorite skin problems. Not that I have any favorites at all, but I used to struggle really hard with closed comedones in particular because they were so stubborn.
I’ve definitely had mixed experiences with peel-off masks, and it’s important to know that they’re not the perfect solution for blackheads or whiteheads. They can cause irritation to sensitive skin and promote sagging.
So, while I had a positive experience with the Gel Hut Mun Peel-off Mask, I wouldn’t make it a staple in my own routine. There’s a stinging sensation afterward that I didn’t quite like, so I don’t recommend this to those with dry or sensitive complexions. I also prefer chemical peels over physical peel-off masks.
Although this isn’t my favorite choice for dry and sensitive skin, I can appreciate that it works on those who have problems with excess oil. It’s also more convenient and fast-acting than a lot of other peels, so we’re giving it 3 stars for that.
It’s important to take heed of the product’s recommendation of applying soothing creams afterward. In my experience, the redness faded away after I applied a soothing balm.
